In this powerful work on paper, BRACHA employs ink, xerography, and pigment to create an intricate two dimensional work where hues of red, purple, pink, white and black engage in an entanglement of luminosity, opacity and radiance. Here, the formal properties of painting are treated through a series of accumulations of color, imprints and lines to create abstract formations of connectedness and separations. The color-line relationship and the ambiguous depth of field create a space of emanation, a meaning-saturated space in which psychological, interpretive, symbolic and emotional structures are rendered equal to the formal tools of artmaking.
