Dor Zlekha Levy

Dor Zlekha Levy is a multimedia artist that specializes in audiovisual installations, video art, and live performances. Sound is a core element in his work. Ongoing collaborations with musicians are essential to his working process, from conception to installation. His works bring to life the voices excluded from Israeli cultural discourse in a way that allows them to not only be heard, but be listened to. 

Zlekha Levy created large scale audiovisual installations for national parks and heritage sites, such as The Bell Caves in Beit Guvrin and The Arches Pool in Ramle. Solo exhibitions of his work have been held at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Braverman Gallery and Room25, and he has participated in numerous group exhibitions at The Israel Museum, Petach Tikva Museum of Art, Kunsthalle Stavanger, The Museum of Islamic Art in Jerusalem, and more. His videos have been screened at international festivals including Ars Electronica and institutions among them Kadist Foundation and ICA London. A former resident artist at Artport Tel Aviv (2020), Dor is a recipient of the 2017 Israeli Ministry of Culture Prize for a Young Artist, and was awarded the Zoom Prize for a Young Israeli Artist in 2016.
